Put Thursday, March 16th on your calendar! That’s when Lance Morris and Jeff McGuiness
will bring to life the eleven years Frederick Douglass lived in bondage in Talbot County and
his triumphant return to the county in the closing decades of his life. Their program
features Morris’s moving oratory using the words of Frederick Douglass against the
backdrop of stunning imagery from McGuiness’s 284-page photographic essay, Bear Me
Into Freedom: The Talbot County of Frederick Douglass, published by St. Michaels
Museum. Please join us at 6:30 PM for coffee and cookies at the Sherwood Church Hall.
The program will begin promptly at 7:00 PM.
